The Na Hoku Hanohano awards are one of the greatest honors for artists in Hawaiʻi as they recognize the brilliance of our local music industry. Napua attended her first Na Hoku Hanohano awards event in 1992 as the recipient of the Bill Murata music scholarship. It was an unforgettable experience for her as a young, aspiring artist, who vividly remembers Uncle Willie K sweeping the awards that evening, setting the bar high for fellow Maui artists to aspire to.
Tonight marks the final night for HARA members to cast their Na Hoku Hanohano preliminary ballot votes online at nahokuhanohano.org for consideration this May. Please support our local artists and be sure to cast your vote by 11:59pm HST.
